PRODUCT: DOMINOES BATTLE | CLIENT: GAZEUS GAMES | KEY ROLES: UX, UI, ART DIRECTION
Dominoes Battle is one of the main dominoes games available, with more than a million downloads and a diverse fan base.
During my time at Gazeus, I refined the game's user experience, explored new features and a fresh art direction.

A fresh coat of paint
I was asked to test some ideas for the game's art direction. The main objective was to refresh the visuals to match with other casual titles. My goal was to create a simple but flashy presentation that could bring the game to life with lots of micro interactions.

Shopping and Touring
Dominoes Tour was a studied I made to attract a younger audience, increase session time/ad exposure per user and monetization via IAP.
It used a regular season approach common in so many games:
• Same gameplay loop with light variations (power ups and events);
• Different themes/locations (up to 3) per season;
• Players can earn cosmetic items of their liking - such as new dominoes skins, sceneries, effects and avatars.

The idea behind the MVP was to create something in a short time that would feed us with the data we needed. If the feature succeed, we could improve and polish afterwards.

Testing those features and art direction were a great challenge.
It helped me improve and optimize the handoff experience with the dev team. Along with that, I could dig a little deeper in micro interactions, and bring that JUICY feel for the user interface.
